National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by COA since 2006. The purpose of NATA is to provide a single scheme of examination for holding aptitude test and to facilitate prospective students all over the country to apply for admissions in architecture seats in institutions across the country and to avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests.

NATA ensures that the eligibility criteria for admission to 5 Year Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) degree course, as prescribed by CoA and duly approved by the Central Government, are strictly adhered to and followed all over the country in Architectural Institutions.

NATA will be conducted twice a year by CoA. Both the first and second test will be conducted on a different date as a one-day online examination all over the country.

I am a student of School of Architecture and Planning,Anna University. I scored 144 in the NATA examination. I had no idea of getting into architecture, but the TICF seminars I attended helped me, to develop an interest in architecture. The seminar was very resourceful. The counselling sessions were even more informative, offering insights into each and every branch of higher studies. I could not have entered SAP if I didn't take guidance from TICF. I thank Nedunchezhian sir, Rajesh sir and all of TICF for their much valuable guidance throughout my preparation for the NATA exams.

Your son will be eligible if he has the same mathematics subject equivalent to regular science group students. You can apply for NATA, no harm. After clearing NATA, you need to apply separately with each and every state/Institution separately. The student can appear any number of times for NATA. His score will be calculated as (The total marks obtained/Number of attempts).

No. NATA is just an Aptitude Test. With the NATA Score Card, the candidate will have to apply seperately for State Govt. Architecture colleges (under Directorate of Technical Education for that state). Notifications will come National & Regional newspapers regarding that. The students can also apply schools of architecture directly with NATA score.
