AIPMT Merit List 2012 & Ranking 2011
A list of the successful candidates will be declared by the 3rd week of April, 2012 on the score obtained in Preliminary examination in order to qualify for the Final Examination.
Preliminary Examination Results Released
As of Now, The result of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Preliminary Examination, 2012 held on 1st April, 2012 (Sunday) has been declared. Out of 275742 registered candidates, 257960 candidates appeared in the Preliminary Stage Examination. 30788 Candidates have qualified for appearing in the Final Stage Examination to be held on 13th May, 2012 (Sunday). Candidates qualified for the Final Examination would be issued a separate admit card indicating new roll number and other relevant details. Similarly, a list of the successful candidates based on the score obtained in the Final Examination will be prepared by 1st week of June 2012.
The results of both the exams will be hosted on Board’s website.
Eligibility for Merit list
The merit list prepared as a result of entrance examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together in the competitive examination. Board will prepare the merit list/ wait list as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, DGHS and MCI. There will be no separate result list of SC/ST candidates.
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the Final Examination, the inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the entrance examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
- Candidates older in age to be preferred.
- Candidates securing higher marks in Preliminary Examination will be preferred.
The merit list will be equal to the number of seats available for allotment in MBBS / BDS course under 15% All India Quota. There shall also be a waiting list equal to the 100% of the merit list.
The candidates selected on the basis of the score of final stage examination. Category wise merit list and wait list for final examination are as follows.

What will happen, if two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in AIPMT test?
If 2 students getting equal marks in the Final AIPMT final exam, the inter-se-merit of students will be determined in the following order, student got higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the entrance examination, student got higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination, older age student to be preferred, student secure higher marks in Preliminary Exam is preferred.

What is the last rank in AIPMT for a SC candidate and minimum marks also?
AIPMT consists of 2 rounds, the preliminary Examination and the final examination. Only those qualify for Preliminary examination will be eligible for Final examination. In the final examination for SC student, the last Rank is 364 for 287 marks out off 480 marks.
