DASA Scheme provides admissions for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Foreign Nationals (FNs) UG Engineering degrees in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Reputed Technical Institutions in India.
Non-Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin are admitted for Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad DASA scheme from the year 2001-2002.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has ensured the coordination of the admission process of DASA scheme to National Institute of Technology Karnataka NITK, Surathkal from academic year 2010-2011.
